FrankenBois was created by Brie Hirsheimer (thats me!!) at the end of 2021 in a retail store office during my lunch break.

I used to work in a cave a.k.a. Park Meadows Mall and my coworkers and I had teeny tiny stuffed animals attached to our name-tag lanyards (you can see where this is going). I brought my sewing stuff to work everyday (I used to cross-stitch a lot) and my coworker Kelly (hey Kelly!) had the brilliant idea of switching the heads on everyones name tag stuffies. Eventually I began buying thrifted stuffed animals to do this with, yadda yadda yadda. Cut to 2023 and this is my full time job??? Crazy how trying to entertain ourselves one boring day at work changed the projection of my life! In conclusion I guess im thankful for working retail lol.

My goal with FrankenBois is to create something sustainable while giving adults an excuse to connect with their inner-child. Stuffed animals are so so nostalgic and I think we should never stop having them no matter how old we are!

On a serious, not so fun note, hundreds of thousands of stuffed animals and other toys wind up in landfills every single year. My goal is to play a part in diverting those toys by upcycling them and doing my part to keep the world livable.
